happy birthday little one

happy (estimated) bday my little mouse. There is so much about you that I am so thankful for, you make my life so much brighter. Without you I would not know some of my best friends in the world. I wouldn’t want to make this world a better place. But you also remind me when life gets too stressful to throw a ball and take a stroll. I don’t know what I did to be so lucky to have you in my life. I marvel at the things you teach me and the ways you lift me up when I am down and alone. I love you from the tufts of fur in between your toes to your ever changing pink button nose. I can’t dare to think you won’t always be there, but in the mean time kiddo we got a lot more places to go and smiles to bring. You may not be the world’s greatest, but you have forever changed my world.

Pawabunga! Check out this video I did with my boyfriend wall-e, and many other furfriends including al-capone and ricochet. Its done by two kids and boy do I love kids. Not to mention any time ot raise awareness for shelter dogs like me is a plus. I hope you like it and sing along like I am right now… bowowowowowow

calendars now available

We are so proud to announce that we now are selling 2012 Working Like A Dog calendars showcasing some of the dogs we have recently met.

Why a calendar you ask? Well, we are still photographing dogs and we want to show off these amazing dogs in the meantime. This is a true labour of love project. Everything we do comes out of pocket and heart, from the cost of paper, gas, time, dog treats, batteries, and so much more. We are selling these so that we can afford to meet and photograph even more dogs to get this book out sooner.

We are also donating a portion of the proceeds of the calendars to the Los Angeles City Shelter’s where Maggie and a bunch of these amazing dogs were rescued from.

You can purchase the calendar’s here, or you can get one from us in person if you are nearby us at any time, we are frequently in downtown and other parts of Los Angeles! They will begin shipping out next week. We really love how they turned out and hope you do too.

We appreciate all and any support each of you has give us. Without you none of this would be possible.

…hero dogs awards…

Last week mum, Brandise, and I spent time at the Beverly Hilton with our friend Ricochet and the dogs nominated by the hero dog awards. Meeting these people and hearing stories about their four legged partners brought tears to our eyes. These were some of the most unselfish, warm hearted, friendly people.

We had a late night chat with Stacey Mae’s dad which was one of the many highlights, I performed a few tricks for everyone at the bar and hamed it up.

I know they all had an amazing time but I can honestly say we were touched more than almost any other experience. We are so honred to showcase some of the hero dogs in our book Working Like A Dog.

…allergen dogs…

Here is a video about a family that is hoping to get an allergen dog to become a member of their family. This is not our friend Rex and/or associated with him. I hope to help use some of my book money to help families like this get their dream helper dog.

Ps- How cute is she at the end when she says she’s getting a service dog! My gosh!
